Hey guys, i happened to have a scrap atv resorvoir hanging around and tried it. The window held up right to the last 5 mins of my cure then it started to whiten and bubble. If you can get it out, take it out

This is awesome! Thanks for trying this. We will try to remove the sight glass and I will post the outcome also. My friend at a local machine shop said he can make a tool to remove these. If it works and he can make these reasonable enough I will possably offer a few if anyone wants one.

Jason,
From first hand experience the sight glass will not tolerate the curing process. As far as the sight glass being pressed it is actually casted in there, so I am told. If infact you do find out a way to get that sight glass out without damage Please pass the info on as I am sure we all have come across this problem. Good Luck and God Bless!!!

As far as casting the sight glass in ,isnt casting a process of pouring molten metal into a form ,this metal would be way hotter than the 400 degrees it would take to cure the powder .I seriously doubt the lens is cast into the cover.

How did the tool to remove sight glasses from master cylinders come out? I would be very interested in one. Will the same tool reinstall the sight glass? Let me know thanks and Have a Blessed Week!!!
