Default Clearcoating Alum rims

Hi, I was thinking of PCing my rims. I have them to a nice polished luster now, but wanted to add some Lolypop Blue and then Clear the whole rim to preserve the finish. Is there any drawbacks to this? Willt eh Clear change the Alum color at all or yellow?? Any special prep needed? I was planning on

Degrease with Acetone or similar
Outgass/preheat
Shoot at 150* F
Cure at lowest temp/max time for the powder

That's about it. The cleaner, the better.
Just wondering. Do you realize that the Lolly-pop blue is a top coat. Basically a tinted clear. It would not be necessary to clear over again and make the coating prone to chip with the extra thickness.

Ya, I know it's a tinted clear, but I only want certian area's done in loly, the rest cleared for tarnish protection. Would it maybe be better to clear the rim, cool, then mask and spray loly, then when the loly flows, take off the masking and fully cure, or will the tape leave marks in the clear? I want to color the curved pointy pieces, while the rest of the rim is polished
