Has any one tried to hot shot terra cotta ceramic pots with clear?

I'm not sure that they will stay hot long enough to get a decent coating on them. I guess the only way to find out is to try it. I think earthen materials will displace the heat very quickly, and I doubt that even if you can get it to stick, it will stay in place. Maybe if it's pre fired with ceramic paint you might get it to work but not if it's raw.
