Default Business Website

Well I've been screwing around lately and started getting a website built up and finally got it all set with a server and our little business now has a website.

www.temperancecoatings.com

Check it out if you could, see if anything looks bad or what not. Any feedback is helpful.

Looks good. I too am starting a web. Taking a while because I seemed to have lost my HTML editor (Frontpage2000) so I am doing it all in code at the moment, learning code as I go LOL

If you like learning code but want the software to "help" a little, check out the free edition of 1stpage. It's awesome.

Home and Main Page should be one page, just "Home". The splash page shouldn't be the home page.

Some pics are out of focus or not lit well. Use force-flash or have the sun behind you when taking pictures.

Most of the pictures of the quads are great, especially on the splash page.

There are some grammatical and spelling errors. I'd get two or three people to proofread it for you and try to make it sound professional. How about something like this:

-----------------------------

Welcome to the Temperance Coatings website. We are a small shop specializing in personalized, quality custom powdercoating work. We are usually much cheaper than the larger shops because they must carry significant overhead and typically aren't set up to do smaller jobs efficiently. We specialize in coating quad and dirt-bike parts, but can also do car parts, furniture, mailboxes, bicycle frames, tools, or just about any other metal part that is able to withstand the 375-400 degree curing temperatures. We have a wide color selection available with many different "looks" available ranging from simple single-color finishes to unusual textures, candies and metallics. We have coatings that look like polished aluminum, and some even approach the look of highly polished chrome.

Powdercoating begins as a fine powder that is applied to the part with with a special gun. As it leaves the gun, it is electrically charged, causing it to cling to the part. The part is then moved to an oven and cured at around 375 to 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. This melts the powder and fuses it to the part for a beautiful, long-lasting finish that is highly durable and chip-resistant.

We invite you to look through our gallery and see for yourself how ....

blah blah blah, you get the idea

Wow, thats a nice little write up. Mind if i use it? I like the main page with the quads and then the other page for some reason. And as for the pictures some are old (we've been doing this for almost 3 years) and our camera sucked back then.

Not at all, go ahead and use it or change it around, I just made it up off the top of my head. The main and home page is not that big a deal, if you're happy with it then stick with it. The pictures are cool. Good luck with the business!

Steve, I hate code LOL, much rather work with a WYSISYG editor. I am just forced to do code at the moment. I was having a guy make me a site, he sent a couple of "drafts" and hasn't done anything since, so I copied his draft and have been attemting code programming

I am just being pciky... but, maybe make the top line on the price page stick out a little more.

I looked at it and saw... bumper $25... wow, thats cheap.

I guess I am just saying... make sure that there isnt confusion as to what those part prices are for.

Good job!!!! I like the site.

Ok.. I have to be more picky. Maybe tone down the back grounds a little... bright backgrounds make it hard to read for some people. I dont have a problem... but just a hint that I have been told.
