Default Parts with viewing eyes

Hey guys,
I`v been lurking for a while and now have a few questions.

This winter I want to take apart my bike and powder everthing.

Quite a task I know, but was wondering what you guys do with part with viewing holes for fluid levels.

Oil, break and clutch masters.

Will the curing heat be too much?

Motorcycle master cylinder Sight glass?

I had no luck with coating these or removing the sight glasses.

What is the make of the bike? I have done them with good results, but I slowly ramped the temps. I also cover the viewing holes with tape.

The reason I ask what bike you have is due to fact that older bikes have plastic viewing holes and you may not be able to heat them.
Just wanted to be clear some are glass.

1985 fz750

If I cant, there isnt much sense in getting set up to do this.

Also. What do you guys do with frames. My vin number is a sticker and not stamped (steel). It would probably get damaged in the prosess as well.

it should still be stamped in the frame somewhere. most likely on the side of the neck.

The VIN sticker on the frame can be easily reproduced by most of the graphics shops. They take a digital pic. of the sticker and then print it out. The local shop told me that it would cost me "$15-$20" to do the 4 stickers on my Harley.
