Default Gun Settings

Hello to all. Newbie here. I currently have a hobby gun from another company. It works ok, but cant seem to to second coat anything. When I do its rough. I was thinking of buying caswell's 50KV System. Can you get smooth second coats? What settings do you put the gun at for the different coats? Thanks for any help

I am hearing good things about the new gun, but should we keep it on 50kv all the time? since it seems more is better, when should one have a need to lower the voltage?

I second this question. I have just started using the new gun and was wondering this same thing.

as far as voltage goes
you lower to get in to tight areas or hard to reach areas
and you go higger for flat surfaces

if you start with a high voltage and try to coat a deep area you will over build around it and never get it inside.

You can get around that if you discharge the part and then go to a lower setting
