Yup. But, it's the only "hobby" gun out there with adjustable voltage. ANd it has the highest voltage too. More voltage = better powder attraction when doing large area's or multiple coats

Ya I just got my Caswell adjustable, and I got to say, I love it. Only sprayed 1 thing so far, but even at it's lowest voltage, it kicks royal hinny on that eastcrap gun I got. A little harder to clean, with having to unscrew the diffuser tip and all, but, atleast the diffuser tip acctually stays in place. The HotCrap gun I have, broke right away, and the "performance" diffuser, the whole for the electrode rod is to big, got to hold it on the electrode with 2 ty-wraps. Can you belive it.
I am thinking about trying to find a high voltage plug, (me being an electrician and all) so one could use 1 power supply, and just connect different gun's for different powders to it. Like one gun for color, one for clears and candy's. No cleaning between coats. I allways loose track of oven time because I am cleaning the gun, getting ready fro the next coat.

Bandit, I had the same problem, so I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a cheap digital timer with alarm. It's stuck right on my oven door and It really comes in handy, when I'm multi tasking. I set it for the aproximate first temp reading then reset it for the cure. It works every time. It cost me about $6 and has really come in handy. I've worked in shops my entire adult life and I've always noticed that every shop that has a solid work flow setup is successful. This is especially true if you're a one man show. |

Ya, good idea Bzer1 My oven does have a run timer on it. I set it for bake time after flow out. But ususally, I screw up and forget to check for when it flow's out LOL. I built the timer into the circutry so when I get a firecall(I'm a voulenteer firefighter) in the middle of a bake, the elements will power off when it's finished, and hopefully not totally wreck the finish. Although the oven keeps heat for so long, that I imagine it will overbake if it ever happens.
