Default another newbie question

I have received my new hobby gun kit. I'm just waiting on the electrician to get the 220v run to my shop to run my oven and I can start practicing. The question I have is the instructions that came with my kit says when using the gun do not touch the part or you risk electrical shock. So how do you turn the part to spray the sides or the back if everything is electrically charged?

You should set up the part so you can spray without touching it. That way, there will be less chance of disturbing the powder. But, if you do have to reposition, don't worry. Just touch the gun tip to the ground clip to de-energize, with your foot off the switch, and then set the gun down and turn the piece.

My suggestion would be to pickup a couple of the swivel hooks, that will enable you to turn the part without touching it. Just get a fibeglass rod...Like the ones they use for driveway reflectors, and slide it into the loop on the swivel and turn the part that way. My ground is an earth ground, so touching the part or the hook is no problem but I do ocassionally use a CE gun if I'm doing a fade or something like that so I just use something to turn the swivel. Even a wooden dowell will do the trick.
