Default I found a great coating remover!

I have been looking for something to take off cured powder coat. I wanted to stay away from harsh chemicals, which seemed to be hard to do. I finally gave in to the chemical route and tried the Crystal Drano someone on here had suggested. It worked ok but I still had to blast some of it. So I continued my search. I got various suggestions from this chat forum that I was going to try, like Zip Strip and Tal Strip. When I went to Home Depot to try and find Zip Strip I ran into Citristrip gel. I decided to give it a try since it is biodegradable and advertised safe for indoor use / low odor. Well let me tell everyone on here, this stuff works!!! I brushed some onto a coated wrench and 5min later it brushed off with a stiff bristled brush. I left some on longer, it started to liquefy the powder and run down the side of the wrench. It really doesn’t have a bad odor and mainly smells like oranges. 32oz was about $11.50 but since it is a gel it goes a long way and stays where you put it. I would highly recommend this stuff.

I've looked at that stuff about a hundred times but never really considered using it. I have some display pieces that I'm going to reshoot this week, so maybe I'll try it. Thanks for the tip.

This pic is a rim I tried to strip with with citristrip. It went good except that I didn't follow the suggested temperature range. I was doing this outside when it was around 45. This product def works better if the temp is somewhere above 60. I will pass along any other tips I have.

I picked some up the other day , worked pretty good on painted parts..
