Default dissapointed with suppliers

i am in need of a powder supplier that i can get color cards, catalog, something that shows all the colors that are available so my customers have something to choose from. also would like the same place to offer respectable support and timelly delivery on there products. here is what i have experienced so far. i have ordered a catalog from caswell 3 times and have yet to recieve one. there customer service told me that there catalog shows all the colors available, why cant i get one. that would solve one of my problems. i have got color cards from ppg but cant get them to supply my powder needs. i tried columbia coatings and they ship fairly fast but no color cards and really crappy support. they dont want my business either. can someone lead me to a good powder supplier please. i want to apologise to caswell i am most certainly not trying to dog you but i was given the impression that my business did not interest you. i need to add that this site is fantastic and i have gotten a wealth of info here. i most certainly would have been lost without the help i recieved here.

Hi Skooter:

I'm sorry that you haven't received a catalog from us. When you request a catalog on our web site, the information is sent to our mailing partner once a month. The mailing partner then passes your address through the USPS address validation service and mails the catalog. Sometimes, this takes a while, and sometimes a typo in your address will prevent one from getting sent at all. If you'd like to e-mail me or call, I will ensure you get a catalog direct from us ASAP.

All our colors are on our web site, and you can also print a PDF version of the catalog directly from the web site. The web site is more up to date with our colors than the catalog, and has a better representation of many colors because we've included links to pictures of actual parts.

I can't speak for the other suppliers you've mentioned, but it's impossible for us to create color cards of our powders. We don't manufacture powder here....we buy in bulk and repackage for the hobby market. Making color cards would cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars for all the different colors we sell, and we'd never recoup those costs because we don't sell the volumes that the manufacturers do (DuPont, Tiger etc).

If you want something to show your customers...print off our two web pages with the powders, and show them the photos of those colors where they're available. Where they're not available, buy a pound, shoot it, and send us a photo...you'll get a pound free.

Now that our powders are all half price, it's even more affordable to do. You could even make your own color chips with some scrap sheet metal.

Hope this helps.

maybe the online catalog request form is broken because i've requested a catalog 2 or 3 times also and never got one. 1st request was about 6 months ago and the latest was maybe 1 month ago.

Not every order, i've had two orders, yet no catalog. Which isn't all that important to me as the colors are viewable through the website.

On the color chips, I have done a few for test purposes and to show people, 2X2 squares. they work great and the customer gets to see how they look with different metals or base finishes.

Every time I shoot something I also include a small sample piece. Before long you've got a pretty good sample base. No catalog here either.
