Default How important is a "draft" in your PC cabinet?

I just finished a PC cabinet, the powder coating area is 4'x3'x4'. I've never used a cabinet to powder coat in so I'm not sure what to expect in regard to the powder floating around.

I'm thinking I should put in a down draft (or one out the back would be easier), what do you all suggest? Does it even matter?

OUt the back is better IMO Keeps the loose cloud away from you. BUt, you need to becarefull what kind of fan you use. SHopvac styles are NO-NO They can cause the powder to explode. You don't need one, but you will find powder floats EVERYWHERE in your shop. Only wat to keep it clean is with a fan of some type

Thanks.

I was thinking about a standard house fan mounted to the back (with a filter).

My first booth was a down draft. I used a piece of rectangular duct...cut a hole in the floor of the booth, and the top of the duct, with a furnace filter over the hole. At the end of the duct I used an adapter and went from the rectangular end of the duct to an 8" round duct with a 500 cfm fan in the duct. From there I used a flexible tube to send it out of the shop. Worked great until I got too busy and it couldn't keep up with the demand.
