powder coating sprockets - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I'm thinking about powdercoating some bicycle chainrings, but don't know if it would affect shifting.Was gonna use super wet black.Not sure if this is the type that should be used. Thanks

I have done MX bike sprockets with no problem. Holds up retty well where the chain rides too. Should be no problem on a bicycle sprocket. Super Wet Black get's rub marks in it alot wasier than regualr black though. Like when you try to wipe off dust. It'll leave fine scratches/scuffs. But you'll have to try it to be sure.
