silver vein and clear coat

im doing some bike parts,engine covers. i was wondering with caswell silver vein ,does it need a clear.by the way this stuff uncleared is very tough.

I don't use clear over any veins and never had any problems
someday try some candy over it

I did a tank/fender set for a guy in silver vein whose frame/springer front end was done in the wrinkle black. He decided it had a bit to much gloss for his liking so I covered it w/ matte clear. Had a pretty cool finish that complimented the frame.

I don't have any of it in my gallery but on my site there are pics before the clear if you want to see what it will look like.

I've pc'd some wrenches in black hammertone and silver hammertone and they have withstood a beating!! No clear, just the color. They have been used for things a wrench shouldn't be used for, but still retain the powder. I pc'd them several months ago and still look half way decent considering what they've been through.
