Default Powder Scratch And Chip Easily

I recently started powdercoating parts and it seems that the powder is not as durable as i had thought it to be. Every part was sandblasted and perped then coated. Could it be possible that the scratches and chips occur easily because of undercure. Maybe powder thickness. Help me out on this 1 it really bugs me. Anyone wit similar experiences ? is undercure my problem ?

Powder will scratch just like any paint but the durability really drops when under-curded. I'm sure someone else will jump in but there's a rub test you can do to make sure it's cured correctly.

If it's Lollypop red your using, I am doing a bunch of parts right now. I have noticed that Lolly Red chipps a ittle easier than other powders. I have a feeling this is due to it's formulation. LIke paint, the nicest coatings are not always the toughest.

There are a few questions that will need to be answered first.

1 What is your base coat?

2 What is the formula of the powder?

3 What is the cure time and temp?

4 Did you clear coat it?

5 What type of prep did you do?
