I've searched the forums, yet nothing close to this: Can you clear over wrinkle black? I was thinking that it might to help to keep things clean under the hood versus the wrinkle kinda holding dirt/**** inside the wrinkles. How would you guys suggest?
1. shoot wrinkle and let it fully cure to get the desired texture and then shoot clear while hot? 2. shoot wrinkle and flow it, then clear and fully cure (and hope that the black gets wrinkly)?? Thanks all!!

You will want to fully cure the wrinkle before adding the clear coat. If you only fuse the wrinkle layer, there's a chance that the smoothness of the clear top coat will interfere with the texturing while they are both melted.
Because most powders apply as very thin layers, I'm not certain how much of the roughness would actually be filled in by the clear. And if it did fill in, I wonder if it would affect the visual appearance. |
