Default Powder Coating Spoke Rim Assembled?

Has anyone ever powdered a spoked motorcycle wheel with the hub and spokes assembled? I didn't know if the heat would warp the spokes or make the wheel not true. Thanks, chcustom

You should dis assemble a spoked rim. The spokes need to adjust to true the rim. If you powder the whole thing, then the powder will crack on the spokes when you adjust it. The heat won't warp the rim, but I personally wouldn't powder it assembled

I have coated a few spoked rims (harleys and dirt bikes) assembled without any problems
but it can't be adjusted afterwards so make sure it's prefectly aligned.
if it's for a customer you should inform him about it
