Might be a bit tricky to get to fit in nicely but you could try heavy duty aluminum foil.

No plugs, I hate plugs... The powder ramps up on the plug. For threaded holes I get the tap sizes ready before I coat it and clean the threads after, smooth holes I file later if necessary. And for big holes like on the lowers I mask them off with the high temp tape. Like on this swing arm, thats not peel, the part was real rough the powder came out great, remember dude the 150* rule always applies you can get a heavier coat with the hobby gun that way. I just peel the tape off while the part is still warm if not that sh@t turns to concrete when it cools. Hope that helps. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
