Default Power Brake Vacuum Booster poweder coating temperature

So I want to Powder coat my Power Brake Vacuum booster. I am concerned about the rubber diaphragm on the inside with standing the oven curing temps? Is there any precaution I should take such as curing at a lower temperature? Has anyone done this before?

When it comes to brakes I wouldn't want to hear your experiences from a hospital bed, I'd pass, My 2 Cents

I have to agree with Hex. Not a good idea. Not everything that can be powder coated should be powder coated.

Ya, the would have to be completely disassembled. And I know there is a big spring in there, as well as the diaphragm. You need special tools to dismantle it. They do re-plate them, and take them apart completely, but not a job for a home mechanic. The spring might kill you before you even get to coat them lol

Unhappy Re: Power Brake Vacuum Booster poweder coating temperature

Thanks guys, I somewhat dismantled the brake booster to see how extensive a total dismantle would involve. After review I have decided to shoot with paint .... Not a total loss, I can still coat the brackets that mount booster to firewall, thanks to all! Will post pictures after completion

This paint. Not far from what plating should look like.
