PC clear over polished aluminum?????

I have the fuel rails off my efi and I polished them to a mirror finish. My question is can I pc clear over them to keep me from having to polish them? Do I need to do anything to them for prep besides clean them? I also pc the intake and it turned out good but I wish I had went with a more of a gloss pc, can I pc over the coat that I previously did? Do I need to scuff it or just preheat it and apply another coat?

I’d wait until the big boys chimed in but if it were me I’d clean and shoot the rails cold with some high gloss clear. And just heat the intake to about 150* and shoot the clear on it. (The old 150* rule on 2nd coats.) H@ll I shoot every thing hot. I ‘d be afraid of turning the rails blue if you heated them first. Maybe just a little.

I have clear coated polished aluminum 3 times. I cleaned the compound off with denaturalized alcohol preheated the part to about 100 F - 150 F then shot the powder. Do the same thing for the intake. This valve cover was done in mirror black, then polished the letters, cleaned, then powdered the whole thign with clear.
