should i heat the part well and cool it before applying the powder so that it will be outgassed?

When coating warm the powder sticks well, but it is also easy to put to much on.

I heat 25-50 deg hotter, and 30-60 min All depending on the clenlieness of the metal. porous metals, longer and hotter. to outgas. on EVERYTHING. Clean metal doesn't need it, but I do it anyways. Have had things which I thought were clean, outgassed and ruined the finish.
