My granddaughter had some fancy boots when I gave here a ride the other day, They had some kind of metal on them that scratched a set of $700 custom pipes on my custom Hug. Normally I would have ripped someones throat out but I patted her on the had and said don't worry about it sweet heart, did we have fun or what. Then and went in the house and contemplated suicide. To the question. I can fix the pipes with a little metal work (some are deep scratches) but what would be the best approach to refinishing. They wouldn't have to be chrome again I've seen some kind of peal like coating that looks pretty good I'm not sure if is ceramic or what. Thoughts.

I feel your pain!!! My girlfriend did the same to my Fat Boy pipes last summer! As far as I know, if the scratch went through the first layer, you might have to re-chrome them (that's what I'll have to do with mine, I don't know of any other solutions). Sorry.
