today i powdercoated a set of wheel for a motocross(SUPER WET BLACK WHIT A CLEAR) i sandblasted the alumnium wheel ,put in the oven for 1 hour at 500 f ,shoot the black powder first and the clear at last
i had problem whit the clear, try to relocated the grund etc , next time should i shoot the second coat at 140 f like extreme chrome and the killing question, done properly on motocross whell do you think the powder will hold (scuz my english ,it s not my first language) thank guy s |

I have done my mx bike in swb as well. they hold up just fine, however, you are going to get some scratching around the bead where you use your tools to put the tires back on. I pc'd my tire tools to help with this and it seems to have helped. I ended up with only 2 minor scrapes on mine. If you are using a hobby gun like me, definitely heat it up to 150-180 to shoot the clear. Atleast thats how i did mine and it worked out extremely well.
