stripping chrome ?

i have a set of head light shrouds cast aluminum.
i hit it with the sand blaster and got most of it to rinkel up and that part just pealed right off.
now i have around the edge and some on the round surfice that won't rinkel up.
what is the best way to get the rest of it off with out scaring up the aluminum to bad ?
