Problems with flow

I tryed too powder coat, some chrome handle bars for a motorcycle, i hand sand the chrome and then used acetone to wipe it down pre heated the part let it cooled down then shot it with Mirror black,, there was a couple of spots that looked liked a water ripples , I then sanded it back down and re shot it, then the ripples looked worse, and more of them,,, The major question I have it was about 50 degrees out side, (don't have heat in my shop it was close too that inside my shop) Will the cold outside temp effect the powder composition, and cause these problems or something else. I used mirror black several times, and made mistakes where i had too redo it and never had the problems like this untill now,,Can the powder be old, I have had it for about 6 months now

OUtside temp shouldn't affect it at all. as long as oven temp is right. When you say you sanded down, did you sand the whole pipe down to bare metal? If soem powder is left, and some of it is bare metal. The fresh powder will acctually build up thicker on the bare metal than the leftover powder. Also, try shooting the part warm, 175* or so. I have not acctually used Mirror black yet, would like to see them when they are done
