Smile my first project.

hello all i just wanted to show you what my first project is going to be,looks like it will be next winter, as i have a month til the start of the race season and the rider isn't around at the moment. for your info it is a Rumble BSA 726 (rebored from 650) made and raced by Derek Rumble (UK) for the 71 Isle Of Man TT. and the nutter showing his behind is me...the paint on is quite good but chips off as you can imagine.we want to keep it black any suggestions on what type of black?

cheers tons.

Grommit,

I'm hoping that this is not your best side. One of my best friends is a British bike nut. He has several Triumphs, a few BSAs an Enfield and enough spare parts to build several more. Part of his business is restoring (as he calls them) the only real bikes on the planet.

hello BZER1 cheers for your reply, your pal has good taste in old Brit bikes, its well worth the investment especially if you are in a country that doesn't do extreme damage on the bikes with the weather like the UK.i Have a 500 Royal Enfield stripped in the garage what i 1st asked about in the Metal Polishing forum.Triumph's are the way ahead.i have the pleasure of racing them as well as Jap bikes back in the 80's.hrs of practice PC'in i love Candy Red colours and Gold.got test day in a few weeks for the start of the race season...no pain no gain..
cheers dude.

I like the candy's best as well. My customers seem to prefer gloss black. I shoot about 50 pounds of gloss black a month. I shoot scrap parts in different colors just to have a change of pace in the shop.
