Default Can you do a recoat without sand blasting or something

Hey guys here is the question i was doing a set of A-arms for my sled and after i got all sand blasted and one side done i realized that i was almost out of the color I was using and had to spare it along ( see through it on one side)so i could atleast finnish it so i could put her back together due to winter is on its last leg here and i need to ride so i ordered more and its on the way but i put the sled back together untill it comes so what I want to know is can i just clean it with accetone and recoat or do i have to blast it all off and then coat it or is it something else to do what is the process of recoating a coated part with the same color or for that matter with another color as i have it done in neon green now with more on the way plus i have pyco green coming and im debating doing it that color after i try it on a test piece of aluminum first to see what it looks like. Here is a couple of pics of what im doing, that you can notice the missed and see through powder on the arm.

Just scuff the existing coat (scothbrite). Clean well with your cleaner of choice (acetone) and recoat. You'll be fine doing a solid color over another.
