Default Powder Coating Question

I want to powder coat my valve covers, I tried to polish them, as I polished them, the pits began to show themselves. My question is, will I have big problem getting them coated.

that's pretty bad
what color are you planing on ussing
you can apply multiple layers of color untill no pits show.
I never go over 4 layers
but some people go up to 6 layers

Those looks like Cast. And a bad cast to boot. If you outgass, then apply a good coat of powder. It will fill in most, if not all of those pits. they are pretty small. Might have a little orange peel to the powder, but if your going white, you most likely will not notice unless you look real close.

I would probably try using a white outgas forgiving powder, at least as a basecoat if it didn't have the shade you were looking for. Then put a 2nd coat of the color you wanted over it.
