|
fully cured first coat then taped off around the letters using heat tape powderd them,but let it cure then pulled the tape off and it left lines where the tape was at,should i have pulled the tape off after flow out? and how do you get rid of the lines it left. thanks

Heat the cover until the powder just starts to melt but not fully flowed out. It's important not to let it get too hot so the tape won't leave adhesive on the surface.
Remove it from the oven and allow it to fully cool. It's important to let it cool all the way to room temperature. After cooling, carefully remove the masking materials. Take a blow gun and blow off any powder that may have flaked off onto the first coat. Put the cover back into the over and fully cure the letters.
