Shoot HOT….. I used to only shot top coats hot …….. Now I shoot everything hot. Outgas everything and shoot it right out of the oven I used to wait until it cooled down to about 150 not any more but watch you can put on way to much. But the powders on the part not the floor. I feel it’s the only way to get a heavy coat with a hobby gun.

If you look at the back of the wheel studs on my sons hubs you’ll see the dimples my boy says I’m the only one that can run powder coat. LOL I just need to stop when he tells me too. But you will see a lot less powder on the floor and you’ll love it. Blow it on and let melt.

Although you had three of the same post , were you able to reclaim the powder that the Delta caught? Where did you get the Delta, Harbor Freight?

For as little as I do right now I'm not reclaiming any powder and most likely won't in the future. I'm in the process of tapping into the dust collector for the blast cabinet. I purchased the dust collector at Lowes but now I noticed they don't handle that model but here's a link from Delta of the one I have.

Let's see if this posts only once now!

Thanks for the link, Mike. Also am I assuming correctly, in that it does a good job collecting the powder dust? Could you reclaim from the filter/bag if you wanted too?
Thanks

Yes, it does a good job collecting what's not trapped by the filter. It may be possible to reclaim the powder but the collection bag is plastic, about 4' tall 16" wide. The powder tends to cling to the sides most likely from static buildup. I suppose if you were shooting only one color you could wait till it builds up then reclaim it.
