Default Is PC Conductive?

Hey guys, battling horribly weird ECU resets in my car after powdercoating (and switching to a different ignition system!) my valve cover. The coils rely on ground through the valve cover, but with the whole thing powder coated xtreme chrome topped with candy gold, I think maybe the ground potential is gone. I powdercoated all studs - ie no masking, so the nuts that hold down coils are either over powdercoating or barely removing it.

I think it has a certain conductivity, but all things do,
when it cure's i think it becomes an insulator because people complain that theyr hooks that they use for hanging stuff have lost conductivity, and they have to blast em clean.

Thanks - so it could very well isolate a ground plane from a car if the means of completing ground is based on contact with the now powder coated surface.

Proves my theory, but running a dedicated ground didn't fix my problem. Oh well, was worth a shot!

YA, Cured Powder is a good insulator. I just hope that you havn't harmed the ECU by running it with bad grounds

Retrofitted back to my other coil setup and ECU is fine. It's frustrating trying to figure this out.
