Default what's the point?
Is there a point for a hobbyist to have these fancy guns that control voltage?
I bought mine used for a song basically and the guy that used it prior to me produced some amazing pieces with it.

Controling the voltage can certainly help with some types of metals, faraday cage and second coats.

well said , controling voltage also helps to control the film thickness on the part
