i just completed my oven, works fine for PC 400* in about 15 min. has anyone worked past that temp? i want mine to get to 700*, for ceramic coating. it took another 15 min. for it to get to 500*, then we had to quit, tomorrow i will see how long it takes to get to 700*, hope it wont take an hour, that would be a bummer.
if i need to add more wattage, can i run a second contactor with split power in and a switch? if i dont need the second set of elements i can turn the switch off and just run off of one set. |

Ceramic you only need between 500 and 700 I have had great sesults baking at 550 in my oven.
BTW, if you used fiberglass insulation, it starts stinkin and smokin real bad above 500, make sure you have good shop ventalation
