Default more than one coat

Ok Im new to powder coating, and have many questions. Im having problems applying two coats Ive been fully curing the first coat and shooting the secound coat hot. but when I apply the secound coat the powder melts to fast or it doesnt stick and I end up with dull spots and its feels like sandpaper. I also been useing schotch brite on the first coat and using paint thinner to clean. I have a craftsman gun would the be the problem? because Ive been reading that a secound coat should be applied with low votts.

Try applying a little more powder and be sure you have a good ground

Try cleaning with Acetone or a pre-paint cleaner from your local paint supply store.
