Default Looking for a good cheap gun

My gun is acting up, so I'm looking for a good cheap gun to hold me over till the end of the year when I can buy a better one. I do maybe 1-2 parts a week varying from a V8 intake to a bunch of engine brackets.

I also have a few sets of wheels I need to do, too.

My choices now are the Caswell gun and a Harbor Freight gun. Both are about $100 and within my current budget.

While I tend to stay away from most things from Harbor Freight, the gun actually doesn't look too bad.

Or should I go with the Caswell gun?

the eastwood gun doesnt really coat the part it drowns it in powder, the part the booth and myself. I had a buddy give me the hot coat gun in the box never used so I had nothing to loose... right, I swept up more powder than the part used. I would stick with the ajustable output gun.

Ya, EW gun not really good. Get Caswells Vari-voltage gun. You will love it, trust me. I just did a bunch of pieces for a guy last week. He uses EW's gun. He saw Caswells gun and how the Podwer attracted to the part. He was amazed.

ive had the hf guns for a couple years.good gun but cleean it well between jobs.

recently needed a new gun for multiple coats and went with the casswell variable voltage gun.
use it on high voltage for the base coats and then the hf gun on a preheated part(150d)for tyhe second coats
main reason is the hf gun and the casswell gun is made by the same manufacturer and the parts are interchangeable.

the eastwood guns just dont do it for me

they both look identical (built by the same company with different names on them maybe) except for the color of the faceplace and the HF gun is cheaper

also you can get that same gun on ebay all day long for $64

I've heard the same thing, the Caswell is the Chicago gun.

Since I'm going cheap I think I'm gonna grab it from Columbia, it's about $50 cheaper!
