The pic does not do this justice. It is a little blury because I could not hold the camera still enough while the shuttter was open for the dark shot.

This has been a very large project for this customer. It looked like this when I received it and we had a local fab shop make the modifications for the new 90mm throttle body.

grasshopper when you can catch the fly...... Oh that was another story.. Call me anytime and I will walk you through the project.

1. apply white powder in area where graphic will be and fully cure.
2. apply clear with "glow in the dark" additive over the white and fully cure
3. apply first part of decal over the white and apply mirror black.
4. place part in the oven until powder flows the remove from oven and let cool to around 260 deg
5. carefully start to lift the vinyl decal with the tip of an exacto knife and peel all pieces off leaving white exposed place part back in the oven and fully cure.
6. remove from oven and let cool. apply second vinyl stencil but be careful to register the two colors together correctly. mask entire piece to keep excess powder from contaminating the other colors.
7. apply the red and place in the oven until the powder flows. remove part and carefully remove the stencil at about 260 deg.
8. place back in the oven and fully cure the red
9. clear coat entire piece and cure.

Other notes

Vinyl decals were used. Do not apply vinyl decals to raw metal or sanded powder coating because the adhesive will stick when heated up.

I used aluminum foil to mask the whole intake to keep the red off the other colors.

If the powder wants to stretch out while peeling the decal off try to keep it to a minimum but dont worry too much because you can clean it up with an exact knife.

If the part cools too much while peeling the decal to powder will try to flake if so place the part back in the oven for a few minutes to make the powder soft again then start back peeling

To sharpen the lettering edges up you can trim them with the exacto knife while they are warm. Dont try to do it cold or they will chip.
