Default cure time and temp

hey everyone,
have a quick question about curing the powder. I know that you are to follow the manufactured specs.for time and temp. but no one has ever told me that the part it self has to reach curing temp and time to cure. any info on would be greatly appreciated.

You pretty much summed it up.
Bring the part up to cure temperature (verify with a no contact thermometer)
then start the clock for the recommended cure time.

is it better to run the oven temp up past the cure temp to get the part up to the cure themp, then back it off, or just set the oven at cure temp and wait?

yea but when does the actual cure time begin? thats more difficult for me to fugure. a heavy cast part, like the tranny case i just did may take an hour at 400degrees to become 400degrees itself but the powder has been flowing long before that time. So when would you start the clock?

even though the oven temp is 400 and the powder is flowing alot sooner than the part itself reaching 400?

is it ok if the powder starts to flow 15 to 20 minutes before the part finally reaches cure temp, and then let it bake another 20 minutes?
