Default Cheap PC guns for some.

I hope no-one minds this post, it's meant to be helpful to those in a bind on the startup costs like me. MONEY is what is stopping me from getting started on some things right now.

This weekend Harbor Freight stores (at least some) are having a sidewalk sale.
June 1, 2, 3, Fri, Sat, Sun.
The HF Powder Coat system normally $100 is on sale for $50!
Find a coupon and get it for even less. The catalogs normally have a 15% off any one item coupon, and look around you may find a better one also like a 20% or 30% off.

I have an expired 30% coupon, my HF store still took it last trip. If they take it again this weekend that's $35 for a $100 powder coat system. That will get me started!
Then I can buy lots of powders, stripper, cleaner, buffer wheels etc.. from Caswell!

I do not mean to be promoting HF on the caswell site, but I geuss that's what I am doing kinda. My feelings though is if a person can get started with the cheap gun at $50 or less they CAN get started and then will be buying lots of powders and such. If they cant afford $100 plus shipping plus everything else, then they won't buy anything anywhere!
That has been my problem up to now, not enough money, and half the stuff does no good without the other half.
Sure I could buy the stuff to buff parts now, but if I can't coat them they will just sit and rust right! I could buy a PC system, but what good is that if I can't buff the parts I don't have the money to order everything at once, so I have not yet got any of it

So this weekend I'll see if the store takes my coupon agian. That's $50 on sale -30%= $35
If they don't take the coupon, I have a freind working there now, he gets 20% off as employee, so thats $40 if he buys it for me

If I save $60 or more on the gun kit, Caswell will be getting that money I saved when I order my powders and buffer wheels etc...

So ya, although I am mentioning a compeating product, I feel it may be helpfull to everyone all the way around to help newbies like me on a low buget get started!

At $35 for the HF system, I would not even ask Caswell to price match, if they did I am sure they would lose money on it!

But I would buy two at that price if they did match it

The sale coupons came out last week via email. I was going to buy a couple of them to use for multi color shoots but the store only had one in stock. (The coupon allowed you to buy up to five units at the sale price.) If you want one, you better check or they could be gone by then. The coupon expires tomorrow.

Wow, I did not see that one!

What I was talking about is an in store sidewalk sale, June 1st, 2nd, 3rd. This Fri, Sat, Sun. So you still have time.

Also HF has been reall good about rainchecks when they are out of stock on a sale item. Several times I wanted 3-10 of something and they only had 2, or even totally out.

My problem is I have to drive about 175 miles to the store! 300-350 round trip.

$50 on sale in store, and HF takes a % off coupon on sale priced items also if you have one, so it would be less.
If I can get them for $35 each that would be worth it just for spare parts later!
Not sure they will still take the expired coupon though for the extra 30% off.

CarWiz thanks for posting that link I went and got 3 of them for that price. I have never used the HF gun before and I hope that it does a decent job. The extra guns should definatley help with color changes. I was trying to get 5 of them but they only had 3. They did write me rain checks for the others with no questions asked.

i don think casswell would mind as the hf guns are almost identical to the casswell guns and the parts are interchangeable.that is why i have casswells 50v system and not eastwoods setup.

besides casswells is a better gun in my opinion
