Smile Need to buy a gun, Help please!

Hello all,

I am new to the powder coat scene and I would like to get some opinions on what gun to buy to start out with. My plans are just for personal use right now, but I would like to get a "side business" started later on down the road. I have seen the guns on caswell, but not sure if that is what I need. They have the $95.00 gun with 16kv and the $230.00 gun with up to 50kv. Also I have seen some "starter kits" on Ebay for around $100.00 that come with several extras. I dont want to ramble so I will stop. Please give me some ideas on what guns / models to buy.

Thanks and have a great day,
Trevor

The Caswell Adjustable one, Trust me, you will end up buying it anyways. I did the buy a cheap gun to start, and quickly got better guns. The adjustabiity adn higher voltage is deffiantely an asset

Agree, get the $225.00 gun. But be patient with it and keep the air down. The powder waste won't be so bad and it gives a nice fine powder cloud. But play with it ALOT.

I've heard a lot of people say that the Casweel adjustable gun does not have a low enough voltage and it is hard the get into the Faraday affect areas. Should you have another gun for stuff like that?
