It took a bit more air to the gun (still playing with that) But it didn't want to stick the powder. Not a problem I've had with this gun at all. I also backed away from the part farther then I ever have. It gets there in fine shape. Just took a long time for it to cover the part.

Also, I want to find out the significance of the ring and it's position on the nozzle. It, by the way, is plastic, I think. It's not metal like I thought it was. So, more testing in order. Will update any new findings in a different thread. AND make sure you take your foot off the pedal BEFORE you mess with the ring. It carries quite a jolt!!
Oops, sorry for the delay. Anyway, called Columbia about the tip. Here's what he said. "When you use the tip, you have to turn the air way down and back off the part. The ring is to narrow the pattern of the spray. Slide forward and backward." Here is my input on it. It does work, but it is a learning experience. It don't put out as much powder as it does without it, provided you turn the air down. So it takes longer. Also, if you get to close to the part, it blows the powder off. He said it was mostly meant for the hard to reach and faraday area's. So all I can say is, if you think it is for you, buy it. I'm still playing with it, but not a whole lot. It's like a square hole. You have to have the right block for the right hole. (right tool for the job). That's the best I can say about it at this point.
