There is a good chance that there is moisture in your system or the air isn't adjusted properly.

Be sure to shake powder cup to help fluidize the powder before starting.

From what I am gathering from research and testing, Shaking the gun is just a fact of life with Cup style guns. Powder settles and packs around the cup. Don't seem to get that with the more expensive fluidized hopper's

I just fixed one cup gun with this problem tonight. I have a couple of others with the same problem of having to shake the gun. I will be checking them tomorrow for the same problem if it is fact the same problem I found tonight I will post the results along with several other mods I performed. This gun can now run at a little higher pressure but less volume of air.

One of the mods I performed actually created a strong suction from the cup to the barrel and stopped the burping it used to do.

I need to get some pics guys and I will post up what I have found. The fixes and mods do require that the gun be disassembled completely. I will document the process if you feel inclined to do it.
