Yep. That's why I was not talking or thinking much about full auto to begin with. For any normal use full auto is useless anyway. I could drop 9 guys with a 9 shot clip and semi auto just fine, try 30 shots with full auto and most people would be lucky to drop 3-4 guys in 3-10 seconds before empty. Depending on gun of course how long to empty.
Anyway the point I was trying to say is how hot does a barrel get and at what temp does a powder fail. That is what matters for any gun of any type.
Since I never had a gun to hot to hold by the barrel, and most people do not want to hold a 250F object very long, then if the powder fails at 300F or over you should still be in a safe range for sure!
Water boils about 212f and if boiling water scalds skin then is if fairly safe to say the gun barrels held by hand are less than 300F or you might be getting blisters fast.
