I'm in the process of restoring my bike(old v-twin) and the side covers are plastic. It makes sense that they will melt in high heat, or the powder won't cure at low heat. So, any chance it will work if i use an infrared heater? not an oven mind you, just infrared heat, as long as i control the temp. I'd really like to do the whole job myself, but so far this is what's stopping me from trying.
