can stainless steel be powder coated?

As far as I know, just about any metal can be powdercoated. Especially stainless.

i've done a few pieces (304) & had good luck but I have heard of people having issues with 316 & 430. it has to do with the pre-treatment chemicals>>>not all stainless steels accept phosphate pretreatments to the same extent. work around for this if you use phosphating as a pre-treatment is to use a more aggressive reactant or to do some physical profiling to encourage a better mechanical bond.
