Default Powder Coating CARS

I'm am curious is there any one out there that has actually powder coated a car before Not car parts an entire car. I goolged powder coating cars but i never found any thing.

I know it would be a bloody tall ask and a **** load of work but is there anyone out there that has done this cause i would love to see some pictures.

Thanks guys.

I've seen pics of car interiors, engine bays, and undersides powder coated.

The body won't work well for powdercoat because body filler is not conductive and isn't meant to hold up to PC curing temperatures.

I believe it was Hot Rod Magazine. They coated a whole car as a base for paint. Try searching their website. It was around March or April of "07 and called "project F bomb".
O.K. here's the link http://www.hotrod.com/projectbuild/f...ro_paint_body/

Ya, Coating as a base for paint I see the reasoning and such, but seems like a waste to hide beautifull Powder under paint and bondo. Maybe I am a little biased HAHA

Heres a tank and fenders I did awhile back. Tigers Black Stardust and clear.
Is yours a new or used tank? The reason I ask is sealing the inside.

i've heard of (i think on this forum) coating vehicle panels and using two IR lamps on stands to cure by leap frogging the stands.
