Oh by the way I did contact the Caswell dude and he said after the initial coat and cure to let it cool to 200 deg and aply the extra for the texture. Which I did but it still didn't look like the pictures I have seen . Have you guys done the process this way or is there a better way? I have not done the testing yet so there is nothing to report.....

well after doing some testing on the texture it worked out that 390deg for 10 min, then letting it cool to 250deg then applying more powder will give you a nice fine texture but not the texture I was looking for. Although my customer was happy I am not sure I was. I was looking for more texture but if thats all I can get then I know thats it. It did exactly what the caswell dude said but I work as "if it's not good for me it's not good for my customer". Allthough that was what he was looking for you do have to respect what the customer wants and in my case he was happy which makes me happy and Mommas happy and thats what counts right. So much for that on to bigger and better things. Thanks for all the input and if anyone comes up with differant results please let me know so I can keep my product as nice as all the rest of yours and we are all on the same page. Again my many thanks.............

I am heating wrinkle black with a slow het up rate, 45 min to cure temp. The baking is fine, it's the consistent application I am having problems with.

this was the black wrinkle from caswell. All I could get it to do was texture. The deep wrinkle I was looking for was not there. I am going to look for Dupont products around my area and thanks for the other names of companys. It's all helpful and good info and I appreciate it all. Caswell has a good product I just was not happy with the wrinkle.......

I ordered some hammertone black and also followed the lable that the powder came in. It said 200 deg at 15min.Way off. I called Caswell and we found out that the lable was wrong. I would call back and have them double check this.

I was incorrect with the first thread. The label did say like 392deg for 10 min after the coated part reached the 392 mark. The powder does texture but I was looking for more of a wrinkle which the label says "Black Wrinkle". I did contact Caswell and they were very helpful. Again the finish that I got was not what I was looking for. I am going to try the Dupont brand and see how that works, I used all the Caswell product trying to get it to do what I wanted it to do.......
