This is the stuff I saw. Does it work ? I don't know, never tried it.

HD, I have that stuff, and use it for airbrushing. No, it will not withstand the heat of PC. When it dries, it's like a rubbery substance. Not to sure how hot it can withstand though. I should do some test panels one day.

Could you use it to mask, put the part in the oven until just before the powder starts to flow (a minute or two). Then pull it out to remove the mask and back in for full cure. (same thing that I do with the tape, you get a much cleaner line).

I have wondered that at times. I also do the "flow and de-tape" trick. Got to try it one day when I remember Damn old age LOL

ok, so i finally tried the liquid mask experiment last night. i used this stuff (i think):
![]() results: total failure. experiment 1: flow and demask. by the time the powder flowed out, the mask was liquified. experiment 2: full cure and demask. the liquified mask outgassed so violently that it sputtered onto the clean sections, and it cured into the powder and adhered to the part. on the bright side, for wet paint it did work well for masking some chrome that i couldn't find tape that would stick to. it took a long time to dry, like 24hr.
