Default Anyone Clean Silicone Plugs?

I was doing some coating recently and I got to wondering if anyone cleans their silicone plugs, caps, etc. I rub them to get off any loose material but haven't made an effort to get them really clean. I haven't had a problem, just wonder what the rest of the world does.

I usually pull them before the part goes in the oven, just blow'em off with air.

Hmmm, I would have thought that the powder would creep into the openings with the plugs removed. Since you do it this way I guess not. I'll try it on my next batch.

Anybody else care to comment on how they use them?

I usually just run them through the sandblaster.
