Default regulators and moisture/oil separators

anyone have a source for good value air regulators and moisture separators? in other words, a decent product and a reasonable price.

i have looked at a few places and the filters (coalescing, moisture etc) seem to be pretty high priced. maybe that's what they all sell for, but after i buy a couple of each, it will be more than my compressor cost.

It's best if you can look at things in person before buying them so you know what they are, even if you order the same thing online later for less.

If you check http://www.harborfreightusa.com you can see what's on sale in the local HF stores if you have a local store. I think they have a filter setup for $19.95 or such right now, sale price, normal $35 I think. I didn't need one so I did not pay much attention to it myself.
You can probably order it online from http://www.harborfreight.com for the same sales price if you want to order one.

Make sure it's the right thing you need of course. Some of those are water and oil seperators like for painting, but other are water seperators and auto oilers for air tools.
I looked at a couple in person in the store, they "LOOKED" as good as the high priced ones of name brands at the time, but I did not buy one and actually use it yet, I already had what I needed.

Allot of the HF stuff some people talk about being junk and others like it, but fact is most of what I have bought has been as good as name brands and for less than half that price.

thanks,

TP has some better prices than most places i have looked, and i didn't really look at HF because i've heard a few ppl say their filters/regs weren't much good. i have seen the prices in the catalog, so i do know they are about 1/2 the price of just about everyone else. guess i will check into them again.

If you watch HF you can get some good sales, also great % off coupons at times. That's why I buy allot there myself.
I got on sale a $100 powder coat system for $50 each, bought 2 and they took my 30% off coupon once! So about $200 value for only $85 total!

I plan to save up and buy Caswells variable power systems soon, but for $50 on sale HF is great for the low end systems. Heck get one for each color normally used for that price, so far mine has worked well but limited use also so far.

Love my HF 16" wood band saw, on sale and coupon cost me like $230 for a $360 saw!
HF drill bits are doing me well, I drill tons of 1/4" holes in 1/8" steel plate and that one bit is still ok. That was a more expensive HF Titanium bit set though not just the cheapo carbon tool steel sets.

My cast iron pots and skillets have not cracked yet either, cost far less than the wallyworld ones and just as good.
Course being from CHINA make sure they are not lead coated! OOps, wait, that's WAL-MART selling LEAD PAINTED toys for CHILDREN, not HF!!!
