Default Powder Coating Guns

We are almost done building our oven and I was just going to see what the "middle of the road" Powder Coating gun is. Or just what guns people recommended. Thanks

great results can be achived with a cheap-as-u-can-get-gun & awful results can occur with the most expensive gun. keep that in mind. meaning----it's all in the prep./technique. I have a few cheap as they come guns & a "pro" Wagner gun as well. if you are doing large batches of work get a gun with a hopper or box feed.

How does a box feed fluidize, does it vibrate?
Are they easier to clean for color changes than a hopper feed?

Thanks for the info!

There's a fluidizing plate on the bottom of the pick up tube and the part the box sits on can be set to vibrate. Yes, it's easier and quicker as far as color changes go.

yup-color changes are easier with a box fed unit as you use the actual shipping container as the powder reservoir, or make a small hopper. I often use 1 gallon pvc jugs.
