you'll see defects, marks, etc. candy over unfinished aluminum probably enhances the defects, because they catch your eye more as things that aren't supposed to be there. you'll probably see things you didn't see before coating. if you don't want to do a lot of clean-up, i'd recommend xtreme chrome base. it won't be as deep looking as polished or real chrome, but at least it's uniform.

well i shot some candy red today.i did some sparkel silver and cured then shot candy red.some of my peices turned out nice and some was candy/purpleish.almost like i over cures the part.i cured at 392-395@10 minutes after part got to temp.also i tried M.E.K to see if they were cured right and the candy came right off.can some-one please tell me what i'm doing wrong.i've been playing around a lot with candies for about a month and still can't get them right.
